Mindfulness

Jon Kabat-Zinn, creator of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), defines mindfulness as the awareness that arises by paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgmentally. It’s about living your life as if it really mattered, moment by moment by moment by moment.

Who can benefit from this mindful awareness? I believe everyone can. With the speed of life in this technology-filled world, the need to slow down and be fully present is more necessary now than ever before. And mindfulness can help this presence-based awareness happen; for individuals, for teams, for groups.

I am a qualified MBSR teacher, having fulfilled my training at the Center for Mindfulness, the program Jon created at the UMass Medical Center 40 years ago to help people with chronic pain.

Please contact me if you’re interested in my bringing this to your organization or team.
